Getting Started:
The Core Philosophy Pilates Studio is located on the second floor of Family Fitness Center. Enjoy the serene atmosphere of this fully equipped Pilates studio. Connect mind and body to get the most out of your exercise routine.
Our extensively trained instructors will tailor a workout designed specifically for your needs. Whether you are rehabilitating an injury, simply looking for an exercise you enjoy, or training for a specific sport or event.
To truly gain all of the benefits of Pilates, it is important to set a good foundation in the technique. To help you do this we offer an introductory special that includes 3 private sessions for $99.00.

We offer both private and semi-private sessions in the studio.

Jennifer Shoemaker
Jenny holds a Full, Level 2 certification in the Stott Pilates Method. She has a degree in Exercise Science from Western Michigan University. Jenny received her Stott certification in March of 2002. Her teaching background includes a wide spectrum of clients including elite athletes such as Olympic hopeful figure skaters, professional football players and dancers; as well as clients rehabilitating injuries and everyone in between. Jenny has also completed the pre and post-natal training through Stott. She is also licensed in the LeBed Method for those surviving breast cancer.
On a personal note Jenny says that “Pilates has completely changed my body. It has also given me a way to incorporate my love of movement from being a dancer into a way to help people gain strength and live pain free lives.”
Shawn Martin
Shawn has been married for 15 years and has two children, an 11-year-old son and a 7-year-old daughter. Shawn is also a Registered Dental Hygienist and has been actively practicing for 17 years. She began studying Pilates 3 years ago, and has been teaching and working towards her Stott Pilates certification for the past 2 years. Shawn says, “ Pilates has given me a new perspective on exercise and fitness and what we can do to become healthier individuals.”
Shawn has completed all of her preliminary Stott training and is getting ready to complete her Full, Level 1 certification exam before spring.
